Silicon Valley Workshop Focuses on Data Quality, Data Access and Data Services

At the DataServices World West conference, Peter Coffee and a panel of experts  conducted a workshop about data quality, data access and data services. The panel described solutions for addressing the quality and consistency of data, for providing rich, semantic data generated from unstructured text, and for creating data services with XML and XQuery.

The workshop enabled audience members to discuss data services with the expert  panel and view software tools for exploiting data services technology. The session included examples, a walk-through of creating a data service, and a question and answer (Q&A) period.

The panel ran at DataServices World in San Jose, California, which was co-located with SOAWorld, Cloud Computing Expo and Virtualization Conference. Peter Coffee, Director of Platform Research at salesforce.com, was the moderator.  Panel members included:

  • Dr. Stefanos Damianakis (CEO, Netrics)
  • Dr. Carlo Innocenti (Senior Program Manager, DataDirect Technologies)
  • Tom Tague (Vice President for Solutions, Thomson Reuters)
